Looking for a guy whose is okay dating someone that has kids but doesn't push the issue on meeting them right off the bat. I am a 22 year old male who has a love for film and video games. I like to learn, and I am constantly looking for new things. Drawing is a thing I'm most recently into. I'm not great yet, but I'm slowly getting better.

I like to go outside when weather permits. Or even if it doesn't sometimes. I have a canoe so in the spring and summer I intend to take it out to rivers and lakes. I might take it to the ocean because I love the beach but a canoe in the ocean might be a little insane.

I play a lot of games in my free time. New Super Mario Bro's: Wii, Borderlands, League of Legends and Left 4 Dead 2 are my current games.

I want to make movies. I have idea's and aspirations. It's hard with the film community out here being hard to get into without someone getting me in, but I will find my way soon hopefully. It is my dream to be a producer, and possibly director after learning as much as I can about creating a film.

I love to play card games. Both traditional 52 card games, and nerdier games like Magic the Gathering, Fluxx, and Munchkin. I can stay up all night playing cards with friends. We have a fun time with learning new ways to play.

I hate filling out about me sections. Despite that however, I was raised on the outskirts of Vancouver (well at the time it was the outskirts), moved out to Battle Ground and have been here since. Don't really care for the congestion and closely spaced living quarters of a city, I'm much happier in the rapidly diminishing countryside.

I have recently discovered that i do not hate californians, as was previously thought. I do, however, hate most of the californian govronment. They are the ones that stuff vanadium into rat's mouths to the point where they develop cancer, and make every stinking tool I buy have to come with a cancer warning. Did you know that too much WATER can give you cancer? Honestly... Vanadium is a trace mineral needed for human function. I also hated the environment of cali, but it has also come to my attention that there are awesome mudholes and righteous greenery and nature things there. I still don't much care for it because there is lots of sun there. I hate the sun beating down on me, and i hate summer. That's just me though, so i can't hold it against cali. Also, there are some really great people there and from there. When the big quakes happened, the population of my city tripled. Nearly every refugee i ran into was a total dimwitt. Come to think of it, that is when i began to notice all the stupid drivers, too. I think that is what soured me so much to california and it's 'ians. I imagine all the smarter folk stayed. after a really big quake, statistically speaking it is less likely to happen again nearest to ground zero... In that particular situation, anyway. We are at a far greater risk here.

As a rule, I am willing to try anything once. Now i do have my limits, there are some things that are obviously knockable, such as methamphetamine use. I am willing to compromise and sacrifice where most poeple are not. The reverse, however, is also true. I will not sacrifice performance for the sake of efficiancy. I will not sacrifice efficiancy for the sake of performance. I will not sacrifice practicality for sensitivity, nor will i compromise my compassion and giving nature. Because of this, i am accused of many things, such as being gay, a homophobe, a zealot and a stick in the mud. There are few names i haven't been called. I think it's frikkin hilarious... Here's some insgiht: My Mom is one of my best friends. Yes, she is a beutician. Guess what... She's also devorced and raising 4 boys by herself. Can anyone say guts? I just moved here from college on the east coast, and am trying to meet new people in the area. I'd like to know what's around in the Portland area, good places to eat, local bands, places to hike, etc.

I like to cook, especially Indian, Thai, Italian, or Mexican food. Cooking allows me to mix all sorts of flavors and find new exciting combinations to try.

I also like to play games that involve strategy, such as Scrabble, poker, backgammon, hearts, or other games. I like to test my wits against intelligent, clever opponents to demonstrate my skillz.

I also like to do outdoors stuff. I like to hike, jog, play tennis, golf, ultimate, explore new places, and enjoy the outdoors. and just about anything outside. Here's hoping for some sun!

I consider myself high maintenance, mostly because i'm afraid of everything and i need someone who can make me do things and get over being afraid of them. My biggest fears are making appointments on the phone (like dr.'s, dentists, and such) and walking in front of a lot of people on crowded streets.

i am not looking for the perfect woman or my soul mate. i am not really sure she even exists. besides, if i tried to write out just what i would want my perfect companion to be like, the list would probably be overly lengthy, more than just a little bit intimidating, and impossible for anyone to fit into.
but, there are three things i am looking for that i do feel are worth mentioning:
first -- a healthy ration of common sense -- i've always felt that a bit of common sense was much more valuable than a high IQ. (although a high IQ is pretty cool)
second -- sincerity -- she says what she means and means what she says, and takes things seriously when needed.
third -- a sense of humor -- this does not mean she will always have to think i am funny, because often i'm not. but, it's good for two people to share a few laughs together on a regular basis.
fourth -- i need to think she is very attractive and sexy. oh, that's four things, isn't it? i can sure be demanding!!!

I just thought of a few more things... I am a huge history buff. Roman history, Greek history, most European nations... Chinese and Japanese history. My own cultures history... Although that I must say is a lot less substantial then the previous ones. Thanks to it not being a written history until after the discovery of America. I am very proud of my heritage.. I learn more and more about me as a person when I can hang out with family. The perfect times spent for me are people watching with someone who likes to see the movie unfold in front of us. I like animals pets but dont have any. I seem to start hobbies but need people to go do those hobbies with. For instance I started Scuba and now I need someone to dive with. Im a nature fanatic. I'm pretty laid back and just love adventure and trying new things, but i can also be a bit of a homebody. Guess i'm also a bit of a contradition then, lol. I try to live in the moment, in our world of constant over-stimulus sometimes it's nice to just be. I'm good natured, a gentleman and believe in chivalry.
