I have purchased arrangements for myself and others many times from Marketplace Flowers and every time Meiko has delivered beautiful arrangements that stay fresh and beautiful for weeks. Her tropical designs are especially creative and gorgeous and she has the best selection of orchids and always is friendly and outgoing. I'm not sure what Jeffrey W. keeps talking about in his reviews but he has been smearing Marketplace Flowers all over the internet and everyone else loves this store. I bought a dozen Canadian Gerber Daisies, they were amazing and stayed fresh for a whole week in 1 inch of water. Very impressive little shop amidst a wonderfully eclectic setting. Mieko is more than happy to work with me on what I personally like in flower arrangements - that's hard to find these days.

I move around a lot and whenever I get to a new city, I find a coffee shop and a florist. When I got to Vancouver, the florists were acceptable but nothing special ~ until I wandered into Marketplace Flowers (while searching for a coffee shop, actually). Their flowers are fresh, the selection is amazing, and the prices are right in line with industry standard. Even more important, for me though, was the fact that when I told the owner I wanted something unusual for my office, she actually created something unusual rather than something I could have gotten online. Now, I don't bother going anywhere else.
